A fight between two men led to shots being fired in Englewood late Friday night. Police have charged 53-year old Mark Meredith with second degree murder in the incident. Police say Meredith shot 42-year old Michael Murphy outside of a home on Huntington Avenue around 11pm Friday. Murphy was airlifted to a Bradenton hospital- his injuries are not said to be life threatening. Meredith was arrested on Saturday. In addition to the attempted murder charge, he was charged with three counts of possession of a firearm after a felony conviction and one count of possession of ammunition after a felony conviction.
