A speeding motorcycle was tracked down by the Charlotte County’s Air Unit after trying to escape from cruisers at speeds nearing 100 miles per hour.
Late last week, police spotted a bike going 90 through the intersection of Tamiami Trail and Hancock.
After calling in the air unit, deputies were able to track down the bike to a home in Punta Gorda. 29-year old Michael Ranson is now charged with -among other things- reckless driving.
