The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office has staked deputies out in a couple places to look for speeding vehicles.
It has targeted drivers with heavy feet in two places this week: Tamiami Trail in Punta Gorda between Jones Loop and Oil Well roads, and Cornelius Boulevard in Port Charlotte between South McCall Road and Tamiami Trail.
Deputies have also decided to enforce traffic lights in two places on Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte: Midway Boulevard, and Cochran Boulevard.
