More than a dozen unlocked vehicles were burglarized over the weekend in the Parkside area. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office posted an alert on their Facebook page, saying the burglaries happened from late Saturday night into the early hours of Sunday morning. All of the car break-ins were concentrated in an area surrounded by Gibralter Drive, Midway Boulevard, Catherine Avenue and Hariet Street. Deputies are urging residents to lock their cars, homes and sheds as a safety precaution. Anyone with information is asked to call the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.
