The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office will pay special attention to traffic enforcement at certain locations today through Friday. Deputies will be watching for speeders Midway Boulevard to Kings Highway and Tamiami Trail from Toledo Blade to the county line. And they’ll be watching for red-light runners at Tamiami Trail and Haborview Road and Kings Highway at Veterans Boulevard. According to the Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles, Charlotte County has 3 vehicle deaths so far this year; there were 2 deaths this same time last year.
