Sheriff Bill Prummell and the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office have announced that the CCSO is the recipient of a grant for eight ballistic shields. It comes from the Firehouse Sub Sandwich Shop on Veteran’s Boulevard in Port Charlotte. The grant was made possible by the proprietors of the Shop, Russell and Kim Clouden, and the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. The eight ballistic shields will be distributed to the Sheriff’s Road Patrol Deputies.
