On Thursday, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit executed a lawful search warrant at a residence on Rowe Street in Englewood with the assistance of the Street Crimes Unit. As a result of that investigation and subsequent search warrant, 25-year-old Aleksandr Ampleyev, dob 10-14-1991, was arrested and charged with Possession of Cannabis Resin with Intent to Sell, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Cannabis Resin, also known as “Marijuana Shatter,” is much like Marijuana Dab Oil or Wax and is the extracted THC from leafy Marijuana. This Resin can be up to 75 percent more potent than what you would find in a normal Marijuana cigarette. Also seized as a result of the search warrant was approximately 16-thousand dollars in cash which was believed to have been directly obtained in distribution of the illegal drug seized. Ampleyev recently arrived in Charlotte County from another state in which he has a criminal history.
