Last week, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant on Disston Avenue in Punta Gorda. Four occupants, including a special needs adult were interviewed. Investigators found a marijuana cultivation operation in an unattached part of the home. Authorities found over $2,300, 221 pounds of pot, 31 small plants and 72 grams of marijuana bagged for sale. Lazaro Banos was arrested on multiple charges related to the manufacture of marijuana. Department of Children and Families was also notified in regards to the juvenile and special needs individual living within the residence.
