Police arrested a cashier after it was determined she helped another man steal cigarettes and scratch-off tickets from the gas station where she was working.
Cheyenne Williams, 24, told deputies that Keith Cooper, 22, had approached her and demanded that she give him two cartons of cigarettes and scratch-off tickets just after midnight Wednesday morning at a Murphy’s gas station on Pine Island Road.
An investigation determined Williams had faked her police report and had helped Cooper steal the cigarettes from the gas station. Deputies arrested Williams and Cooper and charged them with robbery without using a weapon.
