A car slammed into a home in Lehigh Acres this morning. The home & surrounding area were taped off at Leeland Heights Boulevard and Illinois Road. A witness said the car passed her as she was driving on Leeland Heights Boulevard when it left the road, hit an embankment and then slammed into the home. The driver was taken away from the scene in an ambulance. A woman home at the time was not injured.
