North Port, FL — Confusion in a North Port neighborhood on Wednesday evening as a car careened into a residential swimming pool following a hit-and-run incident.
According to officials from North Port Fire Rescue, the incident occurred near the Brimstone Hill Boulevard roundabout. Reports indicate that one vehicle was struck by another at the roundabout, causing it to veer uncontrollably into a nearby community pool.
First responders confirmed that the driver of the second vehicle fled the scene shortly after the collision. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported as a result of the crash.
