A Cape Coral man was found guilty on multiple drug charges, after he was caught shipping MDMA to his home. In January 2018, police were tipped off about the package and started watching David Swanson. During the investigation, they saw Swanson pick up a package from Texas, with drugs inside, then drive it to his son’s Cape Coral home. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office tracked and intercepted at least seven packages of illegal narcotics from Hong Kong, headed to Swanson’s home.
Christopher, the son, was prosecuted on drug charges in an earlier case. David is scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday, February 19.
