The lawyer for the former Sarasota County Sheriff’s deputy facing charges that include attempted murder, has requested that he be allowed to withdraw from the case. In his request, Frank Bybee’s attorney, Charles Britt of Bradenton, says that–quote–“Facts and circumstances have recently arisen that have caused a conflict of interest.” A hearing on Britt’s motion is scheduled for March 3rd. Bybee is facing 20 counts. Besides attempted murder, they include exploitation of the elderly, burglary, fraud and computer crimes endangering human life.
