One of the busiest streets in Venice is set to be rebuilt after it was declared in poor condition and in need of replacement.

FDOT says the bridge on Capri Isles Boulevard over Curry Creek, near East Venice Avenue, has structural issues below the surface.

The bridge is set to be torn down and replaced next year. In the meantime, all traffic -except for trucks carrying full loads- can still safely use the bridge.

The city hopes to start construction by June.
