The Venice Fishing Pier is set to shut down in order to be rebuilt…but the question is when.

After city staff got in the weeds over the downtown project, the pier project got pushed back.

Although there’s no set start or end date, officials told ABC-7 it will take about 90 days and around $650,000 to complete. The project goes out to bid next week.

After a bid is selected, the city council will then decide on a start date- which could be pushed back to next year in the off-season.
