A burglary suspect who appeared to be on drugs caused some problems for the North Port Police Department on Sunday. A call came in late Sunday night about a burglary, but when all was said-and-done, the resident decided not to press charges. The alleged burglar went to jail after all and was charged with battery on law enforcement and a firefighter. 34-year-old Colby Poulin also injured a police dog. Poulin attempted to leave the scene when the police arrived and was tased multiple times after he tried to bit the police officers on scene. The biting included the K9 Unit, Dutch.
