Yesterday marked the first-ever game at CoolToday park in North Port, the new Spring Training home of the Atlanta Braves.
The $140 million stadium opened on time, as scheduled, for Sunday’s spring finale for Atlanta.
The game against Tampa Bay had been sold out for months, ever since the team announced it would play the final 2019 spring game in their new home.
Officials hope to use the stadium year-round for concerts, movie nights and farmers markets.
As for the Sunday game, the Braves beat the Rays, 4-2.
