A standing-room only crowd of patients were on hand as the first-ever medical cannabis dispensary opened in Bradenton this week. The dispensary, called Trulieve, is the 9th location statewide. The company plans to open four more locations this fall and a dozen more by this time next year. CEO Kim Rivers told the Herald-Tribune they hope to open in Sarasota, North Port, and Venice. She said the goal is to bring medicinal marijuana to within an hour’s drive of all Florida residents.
