Remember when the Bradenton Confederate war veteran memorial in August? The move failed and the statue was broken into two pieces. The original price to move the statue was around $13,000, but now the repair of the memorial is estimated at $41,000. The statue is in storage, but State Senator Bill Galvano, who represents the area wants to move the statue to Gamble Plantation Historic State Park in Ellenton.
