A Bradenton man by way of North Carolina has been arrested on animal cruelty charges after he stabbed his own Pit Bull to death. 19-year-old Aaron Cox was arrested early Thursday morning after a phone call led police to his home on 20th Street. Cox told police that where is he is from it is normal behavior to kill pets rather than take them to the pound. The dog was brought to Florida by his parents and Cox said he stabbed the dog to death because pets were not allowed at the residence.
