Students at Braden River High School, will be putting on a display of support for a student next week who was told to wear a bra by an administrator. The event, cleverly called a BRACOTT, is in support of Lizzy Martinez, who showed up to school without a bra earlier this month. She was asked by to put on a shirt because her classmates were commenting on her exposed nipples. An administrator then suggested Martinez use two band aids to keep her nipples from showing. Martinez is asking her female classmates to show up without a bra to show administrators that bras shouldn’t be part of the dress code.
