Sarasota School District Superintendent Todd Bowden is asking investigators to look into any ties between the teachers union and Cheraina Bonner, the woman accusing him of ignoring sexual harassment complaints.

Bowden’s request comes after Bonner was spotted eating with two of the superintendent’s loudest critics, Sarasota Classified/Teacher’s Association President Pat Gardner and executive director Barry Dubin.

The Herald-Tribune reports Bowden asked for investigators to examine all communication between Bonner and the union, and if the union was paying her or covering her legal fees.

On Monday he claims the union has a “clear interest in a “particular outcome.”
