A boil water advisory remains in effect for residents in the 700 block of Cadiz Road in Venice. Around 2 yesterday afternoon, a contractor hit a water main, causing a water outage. Residents in that area are being urged to boil any drinking or cooking water for the next 48 hours or so. Anyone with questions is asked to call the Venice Utilities Department at 941-480-3333.
