Some residents of Venice were without water for much of the day Wednesday after a boil water advisory was given. Residents in the 400 and 500 blocks of Alhambra Boulevard and the immediate area didn’t get water back until around 4 yesterday afternoon- that after water was shut off for the better part of six hours while city crews repaired a water main. People living in the affected area should continue to boil water for at least the next 48-72 hours. Anyone with questions is asked to call the city’s Utilities Department at 941-480-3333.
