Investigators with the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office have begun a case involving a body that washed ashore in Englewood Monday. The body of a man was found by beachgoers in the 700 block of North Manasota Key Road. Officials say the man found was either white or hispanic, between 35-55 years old. He was found wearing only shorts and a backpack. Detectives are currently working on identifying the man and then notifying family members.
