A fatal accident in Manatee County left a bicyclist dead after being hit by a car. It happened around 8:45 in the evening on US 41 and 49th Avenue Drive West. Police say the bicyclist rode directly into the path of the vehicle and was hit and taken to Blake Medical Center, where he later died. The victim’s name has not been released, but police say he is a 47-year-old man from Bradenton. No charges are expected against the driver.
