A bicyclist was airlifted to a trauma center Tuesday after being struck by a pickup truck in Punta Gorda.
Police say it happened near Airport Road and Taylor Road but haven’t disclosed any other details saying the investigation is continuing.
Traffic was restricted through the area while first responders were on the scene and the road was reopened around 4:30 pm.
