The National Weather Service has issued a beach hazards statement for coastal Sarasota County. There’s a possibility of Florida Red Tide, which can cause respiratory irritation, including coughing, sneezing and tearing eyes. People with respiratory conditions such as asthma, emphysema and other pulmanary diseases, may be more sensitive. The irritation may very locally and throughout the day.
