The National Weather Service has issued a beach hazards statement, in effect through this afternoon, for coastal Sarasota and Charlotte counties. There’s a possibility of Florida Red Tide, which can cause respiratory irritation, including coughing, sneezing and tearing eyes. The irritation may very locally and throughout the day.
