Today’s announcement that Bass Pro Shops is buying competitor Cabela’s may mean little to area residents.
The Herald Tribune reports Bass Pro Shops had intended to build a store at Fruitville Road and I-75 and but those plans never took root.
And Cabela’s ended up locating its west coast store in Tampa.
