No one reports any injuries from a gas line break at Venice High School.
The fire chief says a backhoe hit the two-inch natural gas line during construction this morning.
The line sits at the back of the high school.
Fire officials say TECO arrived to make repairs.
Students attending summer programs had to move to the front of the school for pick-up.
Parents found out about this through the district’s alert system.
