Florida parents can expect a shorter tax-free shopping holiday when they send their kids back to school this fall.

The News Service of Florida reports the governor has approved a three-day tax holiday.

The holiday covers Aug. 5, 6 and 7.

The tax-free sales holidays for school shopping have lasted a week in past years, but legislative budget cuts have shortened this year’s edition.

The tax holiday exempts state sales tax from clothes, shoes, and school supplies.
