A controversial development project, Aqua By the Bay, has gotten another go-ahead. This time from a Manatee County judge. Manatee County Commissioners approved the 529 acre project back in October, which includes 2,300 multi-family homes and 500 single homes. Opponents filed a lawsuit shortly after asking a judge to overturn the decision. Petitioners argued that they did not get due process. Recently, Judge Gilbert Smith Sr. denied that request, ruling that those petitioners did indeed get due process. Now, the project is moving forward.
