A group that is trying to fight a dredging project at Lido Beach is now suing the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Lawyers for ‘Save Our Siesta Sands 2’ claims the Army Corps broke the law by not conducting a study that would look at the effects on Siesta Key.
The group claims the Corps ignored their request to do an Environmental Impact Statement.
The group previously challenged the issuance of the permits for the project in court, but ultimately lost.
