For the third year in a row, the annual count of Florida’s endangered manatees has broken a record. That announcement Monday from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Manatees totaled 66-hundred in Florida–more than 31-hundred on the West Coast from the Wakulla River down to the Everglades and nearly 35-hundred on the east coast from Jacksonville to the Keys. The total is up from last year by about 400.
