The teenager seriously injured in a boating accident on the Peace River near Punta Gorda on Sunday has been identified. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation says that 17-year-old Allyssa Fedyk of Punta Gorda was one of two people who fell off the boat when it hit a sand bar. Alyssa was pulled into the propeller and was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital in serious condition. The accident remains under investigation by the Fish and Wildlife commission.
