A pair of Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office deputies were on patrol when they discovered an alligator taking a leisurely cruise along a South County road. The deputies said the alligator was roughly 7.5 feet long and was found on Jacaranda Blvd. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said the gator will likely be slaughtered.
