Allegiant Air said Monday it plans to buy Kingsway Country Club in Lake Suzy to complement its planned Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor.
Terms of the deal for the golf course in southwestern DeSoto County were not disclosed. Allegiant said the club’s membership voted to accept the air carrier’s offer on Saturday.
A sale is expected to close in August.
The course will be eventually part of the Harbor-Peace River waterfront resort that is being built across from downtown Punta Gorda.
