Passengers on Allegiant Airlines flights coming from Pittsburgh to Punta Gorda received full refunds on their trips on Saturday.
The refunds resulted from Allegiant’s “$1 Million Summer” promotion.
The company has promised to give away a million dollars of airfare by the end of the summer.
As part of this, passengers on flight 1404 from Pittsburgh to Punta Gorda received a refund for their round trip.
Allegiant says it plans to work with communities to determine who really needs a vacation.
It believes this campaign can allow people to travel when they otherwise would not have a chance to do so.
