Allegiant Air Adds New Nonstop Routes, Opening More Vacation Getaways for Southwest Florida Travelers
Southwest Florida residents now have even more options for affordable, direct flights to top vacation spots.
Allegiant Air has announced seven new nonstop routes connecting travelers to some of the nation’s most sought-after destinations. The expansion is part of the airline’s push to offer more budget-friendly travel opportunities while also making it easier for passengers to plan entire vacations — including flights, hotels, and rental cars — in one place.
While the full list of routes spans the country, the additions will be a particular boon for travelers in Southwest Florida, where Allegiant already operates heavily out of Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) and Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers.
“These new routes give Southwest Floridians even more ways to reach bucket-list vacation spots without the hassle of layovers or long drives to major hubs,” Allegiant spokespersons said in a statement. “With our low fares and vacation bundles, travelers can plan affordable, stress-free getaways.”
Allegiant is also promoting discounted vacation packages when customers bundle their flights with rental cars, making it easier — and cheaper — to explore destinations upon arrival.
The airline is expected to release full schedules and start dates for the new routes in the coming weeks, with tickets available for purchase online.
For local travelers, Allegiant’s latest expansion means more direct access to beaches, mountains, and cityscapes across the U.S. — without straying far from home.
