All students escaped injury following a school bus crash yesterday afternoon in Sarasota County.
The highway patrol says the bus carried 51 Rearview High School students as it collided with another vehicle at Proctor and Beneva roads.
It claims 56-year-old Mary Sutter of Sarasota drove the bus east on Proctor, and it put directly behind that other vehicle stopped in traffic.
The patrol believes Sutter tried to go into the left turn lane, but failed to judge the distance with that other vehicle and sideswiped it.
A trooper charged her with an improper lane change.
