Aldi has broken ground in Lehigh Acres.
Chris Hewitt from Aldi Royal Palm Beach tells the News-Press that this store may open this winter.
However, a publicist has denied to confirm that the store would sit on the old First Christian Church site on Lee Boulevard.
Aldi also has a store on Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte, its closest one to Lehigh Acres at the moment.
