A sad story out of Hillsborough County where a 7-year-old boy has died after allegedly being beaten to death by his stepfather. 31-year-old Jack Montgomery faces charges of first-degree murder and child abuse after the boy, Brice Russell, was unresponsive in a hotel room in Seffner. Montgomery was upset that the boy got out of bed to get something to eat that he allegedly beat the boy and left him to die. Montgomery also forced the other boys in the hotel room to hit Brice. Montgomery was in court on Monday and the beating was described as “homicidal violence” by the medical examiner.
