2023 Florida Freedom Summer Sales Tax Holiday:
The tax holiday begins today Monday, May 29, 2023, and ends on Monday, September 4, 2023. During the 2023 Florida Freedom Summer Sales Tax Holiday, you may purchase admissions to music events, sporting events, cultural events, state park annual passes, and fitness facilities, as well as certain boating and water activity supplies, camping supplies, fishing supplies, general outdoor supplies, residential pool supplies, children’s athletic equipment, and children’s toys exempt from sales tax. The tax holiday begins on Monday, May 29, 2023, and ends on Monday, September 4, 2023.
A list of items that are exempt from tax during the sales tax holiday is provided in Tax Information Publication (TIP) No. 23A01-03. These include:
• Admissions
o Live music events*+
o Live sporting events*
o Movies*
o Museum entry, including annual passes
o State park entry, including annual passes
o Ballets*+
o Plays*+
o Musical theater performances*+
o Fairs*
o Festivals*
o Cultural events*
o Private and membership clubs providing physical fitness facilities*
* To be held on any date(s) from May 29, 2023, through December 31, 2023 + Including season tickets
• Boating and Water Activity Supplies
o The following items with a sales price of $500 or less:
