More than 150 people were out and about Thursday morning as part of the annual Liberty Litter Cleanup.
Volunteers went to nine beaches across Sarasota County, picking up whatever beachgoers had left behind from the Fourth of July holiday.
This year, two additional beaches were added to the countywide cleanup- county officials say on average, the post-4th cleanup picks up more than two tons of trash each year.
