The Venice police are investigating a possible drowning of a 50 year old male that took place Sunday at Venice Beach Florida.

Venice and Sarasota County fire departments responded to an emergency just after 6 p.m., according to Venice Public Information Officer Lorraine Anderson.

Emergency personnel attempted life saving methods but were unable to resuscitate.
