Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office
Detectives with the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office were contacted by New York authorities and an investigation was conducted into Fenton, culminating in a search warrant on November 15, 2023. As part of this warrant, Fenton was interviewed by Major Case detectives, where he confessed to the assaults.
Fenton was placed under arrest and charged with the following:
- Lewd/lascivious Molestation – Victim less than 12 years old, Offender 18 years of age or older (x4)
- Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance
“This is a terrible thing to happen to anyone, but it is beyond reprehensible when it happens to a child. The damage done is more than physical, and I hope that this young girl is surrounded with love and support as she now copes with what has happened to her. Parents, I urge you to have conversations with your children to empower them to report abuse in the event it occurs so it can be stopped.”

Demario Desmond Keith Fenton is being held at the Charlotte County Jail without bond.
