Get ready to roll up your sleeves, Sarasota! The 6th Annual Beach Blast Trifecta is coming up from May 1 to 3, and it promises not just a chance to clean up our beloved beaches, but also an opportunity for some fun under the sun. Hosted by Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources, this three-day event invites residents and visitors alike to come together for a common cause: keeping Florida’s stunning shorelines clean and vibrant.
Each day offers a unique cleanup experience at a different location. On Friday, you’ll start at Ted Sperling Park at South Lido Beach, known for its scenic mangroves. On Saturday, grab your gloves and head to the acclaimed Siesta Beach, where the powdery white sand is just begging for your attention. Finally, wind down on Sunday at Turtle Beach Park, the perfect spot to enjoy the beauty of nature while making a difference.
Pre-registration is a must before April 28, and there’s even an incentive: volunteers attending all three events will be entered into a prize drawing! How cool is that? It’s not just about picking up trash; it’s about creating a sense of community and understanding the importance of environmental stewardship. With summer right around the corner, let’s make sure these beaches stay as gorgeous as they deserve to be. Who knows? You might spot a sea turtle thanking you for your efforts along the way!
