  • 1000 Glebe Lane, Siesta Key
  • 100 S Casey Key Road, Nokomis
  • 326 Nokomis Ave S., Venice
  • 8570 Manasota Key Road, Englewood

For the closest distribution site, visit: scgov.net/pods.

Important Notice: If you do not have a home or business on the barrier islands, please avoid these areas as county crews and law enforcement continue assessments.

Available supplies include water, ice, sports drinks, tarps, flood buckets, non-perishable food, and Meals-Ready-to-Eat (MREs). Please exercise caution and patience when traveling to these locations.

Barrier Island Residents: Debris Cleanup

Debris collection contractors are mobilizing to begin service for barrier islands, starting Wednesday, Oct. 2. Residents are encouraged to place storm-damaged materials at the curb for collection.

Storm Debris Preparation Guidelines:

  • Place large storm-related debris separately from regular garbage.
  • Separate items by category: construction/demolition materials, furniture/mattresses, and appliances/white goods.
  • Do not bag construction and demolition materials; those in plastic bags should go with regular garbage.

Non-Barrier Island Residents: Disposal Guidelines

Residents not on the barrier islands should follow standard disposal practices. For details, refer to Sarasota County’s Solid Waste How-To Guide. Improperly prepared materials, including yard waste, will not be collected.

Yard Waste Preparation:

  • Bagged (paper only), bundled, tied, or placed in containers.
  • 4 feet or less in length, 16 inches or less in diameter.
  • Weight must not exceed 40 pounds per bag, bundle, or container.

Stay safe as the recovery continues, and thank you for your patience during this time.
