The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission released their red tide midweek report yesterday.
According to FWC, higher bloom concentrations were observed in Manatee and Sarasota counties in the week stretching from Oct. 23 to Oct. 30.

The concentrations were in patchy areas along Sarasota and Manatee beaches, as were reports of respiratory irritation. FWC says bloom concentrations decreased in Charlotte County.

That trend is set to continue, as forecasts predict the waters to push the bloom northward through the weekend.
